Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Photos
This is the Wedding of Anna & Martin at Nonsuch Mansion. Anna is a fashion photographer and a model and I was quite humbled that she and Martin invited me to photography their day. The wedding was elegant, beautiful and romantic. We had such a gorgeous spill of weather to shoot in and family and guests all pulled together to create pure magic for the guys.
As a wedding photographer it is my job not to inform the wedding at all and apart from the bride & groom portraits I shoot the wedding pure documentary. This is not to say I photograph the wedding like a paparazzi.
I feel the best way to shoot the wedding and to capture photographs that are personal and involved and moving are to shoot the wedding from the inside out not the outside in. You have to almost photograph the wedding like you have known everyone there for years so my intention on the wedding day is to connect with as many people as possible so that when you bring a camera into the equasion they are playful and welcoming to this.
Well Anna & Martins friends and family made this so easy for me and from the get-go it was simply a matter of following what was happening and capturing these wonderful moments.
The portraits were mostly shot in one location. There is no need to hop about all over the place when you find a gorgeous space with beautiful light and I hope the images here reflect that.
Nonsuch Mansion itself is an amazing Georgian house in surrey set in 300 acres of beautiful grounds with. The original building dates from the late 18th century and is simply a photographers dream, a majestic delight. It’s one of surrey’s most sought after wedding venues so do check it out if you have the opportunity.
The Mansion itself is run by one of London’s most prestigious and award winning catering companies – Bovingdons, so the food is second to none. All in all – this is one outstanding place to get married.
Here are the images I took there.
