A BLOG A DAY KEEPS THE COBWEBS AT BAY

I am going to write one blog post a day for 31 Days straight. No matter what – this blog is going to be written. It might be I only write a paragraph or two and so be it. I love writing. I love telling stories and those of you who know me will know that I do love a bit of a waffle. Over the next few weeks I’m going to be fairly busy. I have several shoots to edit including weddings and a few portrait shoots. I then have the Dare workshop on the 5-6 November at the Dead Dolls house in Islington.

Dare is one of the things I love to do most. 2 days of creative challenges and getting to see the participants go thru their stuff is such a wonderful experience fo me. And for the first time I’m going to be improvising much of the workshop. There are several key elements that have to remain in and they will for sure … and I am really going into the next workshop with an open mind toward us all collaborating and coming up with something special.

I’m then off on a trip round Europe, shooting several locations in Belgium, Germany and rural Bavaria. I’m so excited for this.

Oh … I nearly forgot. I also just got my hands on the Sony A7III and the 35mm Ziess Distagon lens. I literally am lost for words with how this set-up has changed my photographer life. I would go so far as to say it’s the best camera and best lens set up I have ever used. I have always been of the opinion that it’s the photographer rather than the tools. And whilst that still holds true … this camera … is simply life changing. The shots below were all taken this week on the camera / lens. My super cool models were Laura & Aaron.

Stay tuned for tomorrows post guys.
